I had told myself that I wasn’t go to involve myself in NaNoWriMo this year because of school and work and a general need to slow down a bit, but I changed my mind. I don’t expect to win, and I’m okay with that – I just want to get back into the swing of writing. And almost as if I knew I was going to do NaNo, I went ahead a prepared a full monthly challenge for November 2020. I’m changing gears a bit, though – instead of critiquing and fangirling over a TV show, I’m going with a video game series.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a huge fan of RPGs. Before I started school this fall, I played through Dragon Age: Inquisition twice – the first time as a human mage, the second as a Dalish elf rogue – and had a blast figuring out how to flesh out my characters. I’ve replayed Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas more times than I can count, and there’s something so fucking epic about Skyrim.

But my favorite? Mass Effect. And believe me, by the time I reach the end of November, you’re going to know why, whether you want to or not.
