Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone! I’m still not a huge fan of this holiday, but I’m planning on making my first as a divorced woman the best yet. How, you may ask? Well, by listening to TAZ, probably taking a nice, long bubble bath, and then heading to bed early. Oh, and doing my second day of Couch to 5K.

And I suppose it’s fitting that today is Valentine’s Day because my absolute favorite moment from the finale arc, “Story and Song,” involves love: Kravitz and Taako are the quintessential couple (just behind Barry and Lup for me), and their reunion is just so sweet (and every so slightly weird, as the two characters are voiced by brothers?).

Justin McElroy is probably my favorite of the brothers. Really, they each take their turn, depending on the day and my mood, but more often than not, Justin is just so pure and wonderful. His casual approach to Taako’s romance with Kravitz is natural and real, and I love that he’s just like, “Oh, come on, it’s obvious I’m going over there to smooch my boyfriend, why would I do anything else??” Griffin’s response as Kravitz also made my heart swell up a million sizes because he thought of something I never would have when he mentioned how the literal Grim Reaper would need to warm up his hands and mouth so it wouldn’t feel strange. The McElroys are not, in any way, afraid of losing any masculinity points, and it’s scenes like this that 100% prove it.
