In a primarily action-oriented show, oh my God, are there so many fights to choose from, and you’d think that, due to my general apathy toward Vicious, that he wouldn’t be in my top choice. But you’d be wrong. Even though the final showdown between Vicious and Spike is epic, I just had to go…

I kind of feel like I already covered this with Gren, so today’s challenge is going to be easy. I wish Gren’s storyline could have been expanded upon, particularly his history with Vicious. I feel like this would have made Vicious a bit more sympathetic to me, or at least a bit more interesting than…

Asimov Solensan is the first bounty we see in Cowboy Bebop in the very first episode, “Asteroid Blues,” and yes, it’s my favorite. Because I’m me, I didn’t watch the series in order (the first DVD was unavailable at the Sam Goody/Suncoast where I worked, so I purchased the second), which means I didn’t see…

Being from another culture, a lot of pop references may go way over your head if you aren’t familiar with Japanese puns (they are so intricate and occasionally hilarious?) or their lifestyles, fashions, history, etc. One of the reasons Excel Saga was so funny was because it played with so many of the tropes in…

After Ed, Faye is my favorite of the Bebop crew, and it’s primarily because of her backstory. I won’t get too much into it, even though I’ve had no issue with spoilers before – I feel like Faye’s past needs to be experienced to fully appreciate it – but I’ll sum it up with this:…

Out of all the characters from Cowboy Bebop, there is one that I am so incredibly excited to see translated to screen, and that not so coincidentally happens to be my answer to today’s challenge: Gren, aka Grencia Mars Elijah Guo Eckener. I would have chosen Gren as my favorite one-shot character, but here’s the…

Remember back on Day 3, and I was like, “God, I hate ‘Gateway Shuffle?’” Or I was at least pretty clear that it’s an episode that I can do without. Well, then you already know who is the star of today’s challenge! Upon rewatching the series, she’s just not that interesting, even compared to Vicious (sorry,…

“Heavy Metal Queen” is a close second favorite episodes of Cowboy Bebop. It has one of the most kickass opening sequences, music-wise, and I really like Spike in the episode. One of the funniest scenes in the entire series is when Spike joins a bar brawl because another bounty hunter bumps into him and makes…

I’m still annoyed by the fact I have to take Christian-based theology classes for nursing school, but honestly, I did this same thing from grades 4 – 12. It’s not beyond my abilities to just suck it up and participate. However, I’m going to be as honest as I safely can while I’m in the…

First off: 400 posts! I am getting closer to surpassing my previous blog in number, which I am honestly a little surprised I might actually be able to do. Ahem. Anyway … Honestly, Twinkle Marie from “Gateway Shuffle” could fit into this day’s challenge because she was just so blah, but since I already used…
