As I head into finals week, I am a bit … scattered. School’s been rough this semester, especially the last month, and I’ve been in kind of a down place despite taking my meds. But with these stupid tests looming over me, I’m in this fun limbo of neither great nor horrible, where I’ll be…

I’m trying to remove myself from a lot of social media, or at least make sure that I have one place that’s mine, one area of the internet that I make and format and isn’t owned and run by a billionaire. So that means I’m going to be posting art on here a lot more…

So today, in another artist-focused “on rotation …” — Sofi Tukker is probably one of my favorite music acts, which probably explains why they show up on my “on rotation …” posts on a fairly frequent basis, and since their new album comes out in just a few days, I’m going to dedicate today’s post…

After last week’s playlist, I got re-obsessed with Lena Raine, which is not hard to do. Ever since I listened to the soundtrack for Celeste (which is a great game, by the way), she’s been on my list of favorite composers, and I’m thrilled that she’s gotten more exposure since she wrote a soundtrack for…

I’ve been listening to a lot of synthwave recently after I kind of wore myself out on Ani Difranco, Kate Bush, and Tori Amos, so … I’m sorry? Actually, no, I’m not sorry. This week is a super busy one, and synthwave is beautifully suited to so many situations – working out, studying, writing, painting,…

I know that I’ve been doing “on rotation …” Wednesdays, but I’ve decided that I’m going to change to Sundays, kind of setting the stage for the week to come. And because it’s the first time on Sunday, we’re going for the theme of pure randomness. Enjoy!

I’ve been on a huge Ani Difranco kick the past several months, enough so that I bought a used copy of Reveling/Reckoning that was such a formative artistic experience for me back in high school. Ani has stayed on my radar ever since, and I still get excited about any new albums she puts out,…

I’m in a weird headspace this week, so this week’s playlist is going to reflect that. It’s not a bad thing really … I don’t think? Plus, my YouTube Music (trying to get away from Spotify) algorithm is … not the best, so it’s been all over the place. For example, it included Janet Jackson,…

So I already threw the piece away because I was so angry with it, but for the first time in a bit, I came across something I 100% cannot do: work with markers. Like, as a concept, it’s simple, but for whatever reason, I find the medium completely impossible. I spent well over three hours…
