Being that Bubblegum Crisis is only eight episodes long, there aren’t too many villains that grace the screen: Brian J. Mason, Largo, and Quincy are the three major ones. I don’t count the Boomers because they are more like tools as opposed to true villains, and since I already chose Mason as my favorite villain, I’m going to have to choose.
And I choose Quincy, the head of Genom.
Sure, he’s crafty and manages to deduce that someone is going to try and kill him in “Double Vision,” but to me, he seems just to be an older version of Mason. We know he wants to expand Genom’s influence, and he’s willing to do some shady things to do it, but I don’t know. I suppose I was hoping for a Darth Vader (Mason) and Quincy (Palpatine) dynamic, and BGC just didn’t deliver on it, at least not to my satisfaction. I can’t even find any decent images of the guy that aren’t super small, so if you wanna know what he looks like, just google it.
And that’s all I have for today. After this Saturday, I’m going to have significantly more time on my hands – no more Christianity 102!!! – and I’m excited about the remainder of the topics I’m going to be writing about for this challenge. Not that I haven’t enjoyed these; they’ve been pretty easy to complete, but I’ll be getting into some deeper shit later on this month. Anyway, off to write my three papers, nursing care plan, two discussions, and a final exam (thank god for 5-week courses). Wish me luck!
