So it’s Thursday, and we are somehow already over halfway through the month of July. Damn. But, on the bright side, today, I get to briefly discuss my favorite prophetic moment from Battlestar Galactica! I say briefly because I have to be at work in, like, two hours, and I haven’t taken a shower yet. Let’s jump in, shall we?

When D’Anna (Three) enters the Temple of Five in Season Three, her story starts to come to a close, one that started when she visited the human oracle who told her that Hera still lived. Three’s obsession with learning the identities of the Final Five resulted in Cavil boxing her model, now considering her to be a useless, yet dangerous religious zealot that threatens the survival of the Cylons – and his secret plan to punish the Final Five.
My love for this scene is pretty simple: the imagery is gorgeous and Lucy Flawless just captures D’Anna’s emotions perfectly.
“Forgive me. I … I had no idea.”
After this encounter, the rest of the Cylons – well, Cavil, but whatever – discontinue her entire model, setting the stage for the later Cylon civil war, since deadlock in their voting process is a possibility. But for a brief moment, D’Anna saw the faces of her creators, and she was both horrified by her own behavior toward those that were the Five (you know who) and complete, knowing that she’d accomplished what she had been wanting to do for such a long time.
