I really don’t like talking negatively about The Adventure Zone, but seeing as this challenge is all about making sure I am critical of even my favorite things, well … I have to admit even when the show falls short. Granted, this is going to be a fairly quick entry because I don’t really have a lot to say about my least favorite episode. 

While Episode 8: Moonlighting, Chapter 2 is not a terrible episode, anytime I’ve listened to it, I am just not invested in what is going on. After drinking the Voidfish’s ichor, the Tres Horny Boys are initiated into the Bureau of Balance by fighting some ogres or possibly robots? Maybe they’re the same things? Honestly, I don’t know. 

It’s still early in the series, so understandably things are still a we bit rough. Had I not been informed that the show improved quickly after that, I might have just stopped listening, even if I was highly entertained by Magnus slowly ripping off a robot’s arms. 

As far as I can tell, other than giving you the play by play of how they joined the BoB, it isn’t really essential listening. Even after replaying it several times, I can’t recall anything specific (other than the previously mentioned robot arm part), so feel free to skip it. Anything you need to know from that episode will be in the “previously on” segments at the beginning of each new one, anyway. 

Oh, well. They can’t all be winners, right?
