Horrorpalooza 2026!!

Yep, it’s back! Because dammit, I’m going to try and make my life more fun. Now, I work 3-4 twelve-hour shifts a week, so I’m not going to be able to consume a horror movie every single day. But! That just means I’m going to tweak this year’s version of Horrorpalooza: I’m including horror literature. I won’t be able to read as many books, obviously, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try.

I probably won’t do full posts on any book or film – unless I’m moved beyond belief – but I’ll be livestreaming my movie outings on Bluesky. And of course, feel free to join in!

Books:

  1. The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix
  2. Revenge by Yoko Ogawa
  3. You Should Have Left. by Daniel Kehlmann
  4. Man, Fuck This House by Brian Asman
  5. Blood Slaves by Markus Redmond
  6. The Haar by David Sodergren
  7. The Reformatory by Tananarive Due

Movies:

  1. Get Out
  2. The Host
  3. Rosemary’s Baby
  4. Harpoon
  5. The Vanishing
  6. A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
  7. Peeping Tom
  8. The Love Witch
  9. Suspiria (1977)
  10. Ginger Snaps
  11. Candyman
  12. REC
  13. The Descent
  14. Paranormal Activity

The likelihood that I expand both of these lists is high, but I’ll start with this. I’m also all for suggestions, so please, let me know if you have any!

Eep, I’m so excited!
