Battlestar Galactica is probably one of my favorite television shows of recent times. It’s an incredibly dark series, which isn’t usually something I go for; life right now is already pretty grim, so I cherish being able to see the lighter side of humanity, usually in the vein of Parks and Recreation or Brooklyn 99. However, with BSG, there always seemed to be a little bit of hope dashed in: that they would find Earth, that the Cylons wouldn’t complete their genocide, that Lee would become a better person, etc. No matter what crisis managed to nearly tear the fleet apart, they would ultimately succeed in surviving. So I kept watching, and I in no way regret my decision.
