Star Wars is the singular work of art that has shaped who I am as a creator. Others come close to the influence the expansive universe has one me – Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Sailor Moon, The Lord of the Rings, The Big Lebowski, Alien/Aliens, and this list could go on forever, so I should just stop here – but no other piece of pop culture has been with me as long as Star Wars has. I remember watching it with my father when it would air on TV and being completely engrossed in the world Lucas developed. I’ve watched every documentary out there about each film and get excited when someone else wants to talk Star Wars mythos. What can I say? I’m a proud nerd.

I did this challenge right before The Last Jedi was released, so I figured it was time to revisit now that the newest trilogy has concluded. Plus, we’ve got so many video games, comics, and other one-shot movies that I didn’t include back then that it just seems silly to limit myself to the main storyline, about which I have plenty of opinions. And trust me, we’ll get to those.
