challenges

Y’all, I am officially starting the first completely new challenge for this site, and although I’m a bit intimidated by it, I’m excited to get into new(ish) things! The Lord of the Rings trilogy changed the landscape for movie adaptations, for better or for worse, much like the book series did on fantasy writing … well, writing, in general, to be completely honest. Although I can’t say that the trilogy was a life-changing experience – I have not been a fan of the books, for which I say sorry, I guess? and I definitely preferred Star Wars over the LOTR trilogy – it definitely inspired me when writing my own fantasy series, The Legion, to which I’m hoping to return once I finish my quickly multiplying side projects (Jill & Abby, Paradiso, Six Devil Creek, etc.).

Gah, I have so many things I want to do, and so little time …

Alrighty, I’m back with another playlist of whatever YouTube chooses from my thousands of liked videos. I’m surprised that I’ve only run into a few repeats over the past several attempts of doing this, and I can only hope that it stays that way. I’m on vacation this week, which means that I’m kind of taking a break from most things, including posting on social media, so … even though I’ll be enjoying the beginning of the spooky season before us, I will not be doing livetweet sessions until next week. I’m continuing #horrorpalooza2022 with a movie I saw in theaters years ago but haven’t revisited since, but after that, the rest of the movies are going to be first-time viewings, which means there should be plenty of scares in store for me. And I haven’t spoilered myself on any of them.

Wish me monsters!
